JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

wake-up-kid:

Now that we’ve reached the end of the season and eagerly await the next step in Kurt and Blaine’s journey, The Box Scene presents an interesting, riveting, and moving perspective not only of the relationship of two boys in love, but also of a show and the viewers it serves.

It changes everything.

staceysthings:

I think it’s pretty clear the wholesale cutting of gay affection in this episode alone (not just with Kurt and Blaine but also Santana and Brittany), that a lot of it is Fox.  The stuff is being written and at least some of it is being filmed and yet…it doesn’t make the final cut.  And it’s not about “time”.  A quick peck on the cheek takes a fraction of a second.

I’m grateful that Heather and Teej organized this fundraiser and that we raised so much money and got the script but it also fucking breaks my heart to know that Chris and Darren (and Naya and Heather) put so much fucking work into their characters and their stories and to have so much of it just wiped away and invalidated.

What must Chris and Darren think about their scenes being cut? Kurt and Blaine’s moments of affection not making it onscreen?  What must they think sitting there on their lunch break in the Paramount Theater watching their scenes and their little Kurt and Blaine moments cut from episode after episode?

I’m angry but more than anything I’m just sad that two boys who love and care for each other can’t be treated equally on television in this day and age and that their relationship has to be sidelined and hidden away like it’s something shameful or less than.

I can't think of anything that could possibly be better than Kurt and Blaine.
